Process walk-throughs
We sit with the people who run your key processes, on-site in Waterloo Region or by video, and record every step, document, system and exception.
AI Readiness Assessment · Canada
In two weeks, for a fixed $2,500, we find the processes in your business where AI will save the most time, check that your data and systems can support them, and give you a prioritized, costed plan. If you go ahead with a build within 90 days, the full fee is credited toward it.
$2,500 CAD fixed price · 2 weeks · plus applicable taxes; fully credited toward a build that starts within 90 days
Why it matters
Most AI projects that disappoint were the wrong first project: a process with too little volume, data that was never going to be available, or a success measure nobody agreed on. A short, fixed-price assessment answers those questions with your real processes and documents before you commit to a build, and gives you a plan you can act on with us or without us.
What we deliver
We sit with the people who run your key processes, on-site in Waterloo Region or by video, and record every step, document, system and exception.
Each candidate process is scored on volume, time spent, error cost, data availability and risk, so the shortlist is based on evidence rather than enthusiasm.
We check where the inputs live, how the AI would read and write them, and what access, APIs or exports are needed from your existing software.
For the top candidate, we test the approach on a small set of your real, anonymized documents or records to confirm it is technically sound.
Where personal or confidential data is involved, we recommend where the system should run, what should stay in Canada and where a person must approve.
You receive a prioritized roadmap, an estimate of hours saved for each item and a scoped, priced proposal for the first build.
Use cases
Kitchener · Waterloo · Cambridge · Guelph
For businesses in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph we can run the process walk-throughs on-site, at your office, plant or clinic, so we see how the work really happens. Clients elsewhere in Canada get the same assessment by video.

Process
We map the workflow with the people who run it, find the highest-value automation points and agree measurable success criteria.
A working prototype on your real data in weeks, not months, tested with real users against the agreed criteria.
Security review, evaluation suite, monitoring, permissions and integration with your systems, ready for production.
We hand over with documentation and training, or stay on to operate, measure and extend the system.
A written report and a findings session. The report covers the processes reviewed, a scored shortlist of automation opportunities, feasibility notes from a test on your sample data, privacy and risk recommendations, a prioritized roadmap and a scoped, priced proposal for the first build. It is yours to keep and act on, with us or with another team.
If you go ahead with a build with Dassjay Labs that starts within 90 days of receiving the assessment report, the full $2,500 is deducted from the cost of that build. The fee is in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes.
A kickoff conversation, walk-throughs with the people who run each process under review, access to a small set of sample documents or records, and a findings session at the end. We schedule around your team's work so day-to-day operations are not disrupted.
Then the report says so and explains why, for example too little volume, data that is not yet accessible or a process that needs to be standardized first. You also get the steps that would make it a good fit later. A clear no is a useful result and costs far less than a failed project.
