Data and compliance intelligence: turning public records into decisions

Regulatory and financial data is public but scattered, inconsistent and written for lawyers. We build pipelines that collect it, resolve the same person or company across sources, map relationships and surface what changed. The Filing Fool runs on exactly this kind of pipeline.

Why it matters

Why data & compliance intelligence needs more than a demo

Screening and research teams spend hours reconciling aliases, transliterations, shell companies and inconsistent filings. Language models are good at the fuzzy judgment calls, like whether two records are the same entity or what a footnote implies. Graph databases are good at following ownership chains. Combining them changes what a small team can cover.

What you get

  • Data pipeline with scheduled ingestion
  • Matching and resolution engine with review UI
  • Graph or search interface for analysts
  • Alerting and reporting

Use cases

Where teams use it

  • KYC and onboarding screening for fintechs and lenders

  • Investor research over insider trades, fund holdings and congressional trades
  • Regulatory change monitoring
  • Verified local business directories with licensing data
Insider Scanner: open-market insider buying and sellingNarrated walkthrough of the Insider Scanner, which ranks open-market buys and sells by officers and directors by dollar value, filtered by company size and time window. Each trade links to its Form 4, and pre-planned 10b5-1 trades are left out.
Cross-Source Agreement: insiders, Congress and funds in stepNarrated tour of Cross-Source Agreement, which lists stocks where company insiders, members of Congress and large funds are all buying or all selling. Opening a card shows a plain-English write-up and a quarter-by-quarter activity recap next to the share price.

A working prototype on your real data in weeks, not months, tested with real users against the agreed criteria.

  3. 03

    Harden

Security review, evaluation suite, monitoring, permissions and integration with your systems, ready for production.

  4. 04

    Run and improve

We hand over with documentation and training, or stay on to operate, measure and extend the system.

Data & Compliance Intelligence: frequently asked questions

Can AI improve sanctions screening accuracy?

AI can reduce false positives by making better judgments on aliases, transliterations and context, and it can surface indirect exposure through ownership chains. Final decisions should stay with trained staff, and every match should be explainable.

Do you work with Canadian regulatory data as well as US data?

Yes. Pipelines can combine Canadian sources, such as the Consolidated Canadian Autonomous Sanctions List and provincial business registries, with US, UK, EU and UN sources.

Tell us about the process you want to automate.

A 30-minute call is enough to tell whether AI is a fit, what a first project would look like and what it would take to run it in production.
